Made in Melbourne from 100% surplus Italian denim.

A boxy, dropped shoulder fit in a deep indigo colour. 

Features: Oversized collar, underarm gusset for increased range of motion and cuffed sleeves. 

399 GSM, a dense structured fabric that softens with time.

Metal zip and buttons with contrast yellow stitching. 

Every patch is hand cut and hand painted. No two are the same.

What is surplus fabric?

Surplus fabric or dead stock fabric is brand new, never been used  material that already exists.

It is over-ordered by other brands, unused, or left over from their production process. It sits in mills and warehouses with nowhere to go. 

Unused pre-consumer textile waste is “hidden waste” amounting to at least 10 million kilograms of fabrics in Australia each year (Australian Surplus Textile Survey Summary Report - 2022)

We can't justify making new fabric when something this good already exists. So we don't.

Italian surplus denim from circular sourcing 

Fabric composition: 98% cotton and 2% elastane 

399 GSM

Leather patch: This surplus leather was sourced from the off-cut bins of a Melbourne shoemaker. Those scrappy bits left over once a pattern has been used. Hand cut and painted to imperfection by Jim and Gem.

Indigo Dye & Wash Instructions:

Indigo dye sits on the surface of the denim fibre. That's what gives it depth of colour and how it develops a patina over time. Expect transfer onto light surfaces and clothing in the first few wears. This is normal for indigo denim and settles after a few washes.

How to wash: .

Wash after around 10 wears unless visibly dirty. Turn inside out, cold gentle cycle, with a cup of white vinegar. Wash solo for the first few washes — hand washing works too. 

After washing, gently roll from the hem upwards to remove excess water. Line dry in shade to avoid fading.

Enjoy your garment as it naturally fades and creases in the places you wear it most.

Returns/Exchanges

We hope you love your purchases, but on the off chance you don't or you need a different size, we can offer a refund, or an exchange if we have stock available.

  • To be eligible for a return you have 21 days after receiving your item to request a return. Items must be in original condition, with tags attached, unwashed and unworn.
  • The cost of returns or exchange is covered by the customer. We will cover the cost if the item is damaged or faulty.
